.......made it through thanksgiving...WOOHOO...it started on sunday the 21st where i had a great time in pigeon forge with my lovely wife, daughter, sister in law, brother in law. and mommy&daddy in law( mommy& daddy surprised us by paying for this! )...we all stayed in a 3 story log cabin...which was not your run of the mill cabin,. nope...there was cable, wi-fi, hot tube, pool table, dart board and a kick ass juke box ...loaded with oldies!!!...had thanksgiving on sunday nite...home cooking...everyone brought something yum...big wave dave(my father in law) made a black berry pie...that with ice cream and a sammy was fan-tas-tic!!! monday, the women folk went out-let mall shoppin'...the men folk did what men folk do...we found a micro brew pub( The Smoky Mountain Brewery )where we sat like real men for a good 5hrs!!!...yes! wingys, onion rings and samplers of 9 yummy good brews...back to the cabin...and HELLO hot tub!...yes...3 fine manly-man specimens and more beer but accented with a prime cigar!...dinner in...monday nite football in the man cave!...and the women folk..."dancin wit the stars"..GAG ME!!!..tues. am...RAIN!!!oh well...what to do...what to do...I KNOW!!!!drop them women off at a craft fair and find another pub....which we did!!! "blaines" and "blaines" had YUENGLING!!!!thank you sweet jesus!!!...but...the craft fair wasn't that exciting...so the "girls" left it and tracked us down....they didn't want to eat at blaines...nooooo!!! " we want pizza...whiiiiinne.." so, who has great pizza in gatlinburg...hhmmmmmmm...THATS RIGHT!!! the Smoky Mountain Brewery!!!!
YEE HAAAAAHHH!!!....weds we had to pack up and start home...in sunshine...of course...9am departure...2 hrs in....RAIN!!! sweet mother of god!! it rained!!!powered through the rain till we got to florence, ky and BOOM!!! parking lot!!!one BF long line of cars n trucks n motor homes heading north at a blazin 27mph give or take...after a few hours of cussing...good dose of road rage....and a daughter&wife who would not shut up cause they were asingin songs on the radio we rolled in to the homestead at 4 f******30!!!...puppys were VERY happy to see us!!! and daddy was smart enough to buy some yuengling for home...which helped to ease the the dogs that were barking...IN MY HEAD!!!...but, it was a great trip! very glad we had the chance to have some "family" time!!!
That Yuengling is no joke. I had some of that at The Taste of Cincinnati this past spring and I was instantly hooked.
