" a portrait of piggy"

....a haven't drawn any pigs in a while...and neither had he...

"...Go!...to your room"

...there were times when i was young, that i would miss behaved...oh yes! it's true...and mom would punish me by sending me to my room....there were times that this was an o.k. punishment...and there were times that it was...........not that o.k.

"...that old house behind the trees"

...when i was young, we lived out in the counrty....lots of farm land all around us...even tho we were not farmers...and, there were alot of old abandoned farm houses...i was told on a regular bases to never go and look around these.."Why you never know whats there...could be rabid racoons...broke floor boards where you could fall into the basement and we'd never find you...or....or there might be someone livin there...you just never know"... i had to find out for myself...

....i have always loved Alfred Hitchcock movies..."The Birds" and "Psycho" were my favorites...in drawing Mr. Hitchcock i used my trusty ultra fine sharpie...i did do a preliminary pencil first...the bird character, at first, i was going to use a seagull or crow as in the movie...and maybe i should have...but, i thought that a little cute demon-esk toothy critter would be better...after all birds did have teeth at one time...the "Bate's Motel" sign was a little bit hard to find...i found knock offs, but i wanted the right shape...finally ran across it with it's flickering neon...the ghosting look to it was a very appealing sight...with a wee bit of scratching with a modified bobby pin(i use only the highest tech tools available) and just a tad of prismacolor pencil i think i got close...enjoy

....these "pet" drawings are going well...i'm really not sure where they are taking me...but, i'm enjoying doing them...the cats and dogs are very complementary and their owners seem to be pleased as well...the boxer on the left..."Cherry" is Maggie's puppy... i'm not sure if i am going to add color to Cherry, i kind a like how it works with just the values...

...and the shaggy one to the right "Shelby" belonged to Tanya...who is also the proud mommy of "Holly" the cool brown/blue/purple puppy below this post.

i needed to do a drawing of little 9yr old Christina Green....which i sent to her parents.

she was at congresswoman's Gabby Gifford's rally...this little girl was there to be a part of the excitment...to learn more about government...to see Mrs. Gifford...she was in 4th grade...she had big beautiful brown eye's...there are no words that i can come up with to make any sence out of this...only an image of someones daughter...the Green family's daughter...r.i.p.

Marc Anthony................................James Cromwell

these are two unrelated caricatures....Marc Anthony was done for " Handmade Caricatures" a FB site for artist to post only traditionally done work...meaning "NO" computers....nothing digital

Mr. James Cromwell was done for a FB site called Caricaturama 3000...anything goes here...

both sites put up challenges each week or so...there are no prizes...it's just a fun way to keep fresh and to get some feed back...

...any of you who won't admit to watching wrestling when you were younger...and i mean "REAL" wrestling!!! not this steriod induced, pretty boy, make up wearing, no blood letting, sissy style of bitch slap fighting...well, you won't admit to have watched one of the all time great psycho's of hard core wrestling...Mr. Wild Bull Curry!!!

I would set 3" from our b/w tv(19"!) on saturday mornings and engulf myself in this show of entertaining distruction...while i ate my bowl of cheerio's covered in REAL sugar!!!...
i had so many favorites and so many villain creep'os...creeps like the Sheik(before it was fasionable to be from"over there") Killer Brookes, the Mighty Igor, Mad Dog Vachon...yep mean nasty creeps, who would suck your eyeball out of your head for a chance to be World Champion!!!

but Wild Bull was extra crazy!!!...biting, chewing, throw chairs...he started that. his constant growl/gutteral chant was another great little trade mark...he always seemed like he was out of breath, just to back his opponent into the corner and take a mike tyson bite out of his forehead...boy...life was good...

i actually got to meet Mr. W.B.Curry...i worked p/t at a sear's automotive when i was in college and in walks this sasquatch in a suit...OMG...It's him...he wasn't that tall 6'...but, my god his shoulders were so freakin wide! and that eyebrow...a woolyworm of massive steriods!
i shook his hand, which i thought was alot like petting a pitbull before he gets a sniff of you...but, he didn't crush it...

so...here is my way of honoring someone who gave me some great childhood memories!!!

...here is a caricature that i did of Mr. Mike Sheils...
....Springfield City Prosecuter...

Mike is seen in the first pic...relativly happy...pic 2 is of his motorcycle...pic 3 are some of his interests and background, like where he attended college...
and his favorite beer..."Arrogant Bastard Ale"...which i can attest to as being VERY good!!!

...and the finish...size ...11"x 14" sharpie on 2ply vellum bristol...
i'm not sure why i was asked to put a rabbit in there, but what ever the client wants as long as i get paid...
i can do one of these little gems for you...give me a hollar...
